We need more Fred Bierwiler's in the world.
The man could always make me smile.
I stopped into the hotel where I was employeed for 14 years, to learn that Fred had called looking for me as he always did when coming through Longmont to see his family. Only this time it was to say good bye ...
I wasn't suprised to hear that he called looking for me - that always made me laugh when he did. Sometimes it was to make a reservation and other times it was to just check in. He'd usually leave me a voice mail - "Were the hell are you?" or when he arrived at the hotel, "Get you butt down here" - he didn't have to say who was calling.....I knew it was him.
He'd call at Christmas to wish me a good holiday, sent a card when I was married. Yes we need more Fred Bierwiler's in the world - a man who was kind, and thought about others, a man who never complained about anything - but wasn't shy about telling you what he needed. You will be missed my friend. Val - you of course, were his rock....that didn't go unnoticed.
I hope you can smile at the memories and stay strong.
Love,
Kim Crow
